What are your most popular services?

Hands down, our most popular services are Brazilian & bikini waxing, lash extensions and lash lifts.

What is the difference between a Brazilian Bikini wax and a Standard Bikini wax?

In short, the main difference between a Brazilian and a Bikini wax is the amount of hair being removed and this all depends on personal preference.

A Brazilian wax involves the removal of almost all the hair from down under including the pubic area, front, back and everything in between. Clean and smooth. It is optional to leave a little ‘landing strip’ but again that depends on one's individual aesthetic.

A bikini wax typically includes removing hair from the sides of the pubic area to tidy up the bikini line creating a neater look when wearing swimsuits or undies.

How can we best prepare for our upcoming wax appointment?

There are a few things to keep in mind to get you prepared for your appointment.

First is hair length, typically your hair should be ¼ to ½ inch long for effective waxing. So that the wax can pick up the hair for a full removal from the follicle.

Next, exfoliate! This is an important one because it will help with your overall results and time in between appointments. Gently exfoliate the area a day or two prior to your appointment.

Finally, if you can, wear loose clothing to your appointment. This can help reduce friction or irritation immediately following your appointment.

Does it hurt? Is there anything that can be done to reduce the discomfort?

Waxing can be uncomfortable, but that level varies from person to person as everyone's pain tolerance is different. If you’re concerned about pain, you can consult with your physician on some over the counter pain relievers like Advil or Tylenol. We have some in house remedies that at least take the edge away like our numbing spray which can be applied directly to the area, right before the treatment. Or we always have some liquid courage, available complimentary at our front desk! Don’t be afraid to ask!

Is waxing safe for those with sensitive skin?

Yes of course! We are experts for a reason, and that includes making adjustments for all skin types. We offer both soft wax & hard wax. Hard wax is gentler on the skin, making it a better option for those with sensitive skin.

What is the waxing process?

Hard or soft wax is applied to a section of skin with unwanted hair. The wax adheres to the hair and is then quickly pulled off in the opposite direction of hair growth. Because waxing removes hair from the root, it provides a smoother, longer lasting result compared to shaving.

How long do results last?

On average, waxing provides smooth hair free skin for anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks. There are a few factors that are to be considered including hair growth cycle, hair type & regularity of waxing. The more consistently you wax, the weaker the hair follicles become and over time this can lead to slower growth and thinner hair.

What aftercare should be done for the best results?

Immediately following your waxing appointment and up to 24 hours, you should avoid hot baths, hot tubs, saunas, sun exposure & tight clothing. In between waxing, you should continue to gently exfoliate the area & moisturize.

What is something you wished more people knew about waxing?

Waxing creates long lasting results! While the initial discomfort can be off putting, many people appreciate waxing and become long time clients. They absolutely swear by it.

How soon after a wax can I hit the beach?

We usually suggest to wait 24 hours after a wax before going into direct sunlight. Freshly waxed skin can be more sensitive but if you absolutely must be in the sun consider wearing a cover up or applying a gentle SPF to the area.
